香格纳画廊艺术家组合鸟头从2016年7月底开始展开为期6个月的东南亚驻留项目，期间两位艺术家宋涛与季炜煜游历东南亚诸国，包括泰国、缅甸、老挝、柬埔寨、越南等地新加坡展会公司，并在2016年年底于香格纳新加坡空间的个展《欢迎再次来到鸟头世界——新加坡2016》中展出其旅行途中创作的作品。此次东南亚驻地项目将在新的一年持续活跃，不仅在艺术登陆新加坡艺术博览会携《为了一张更大的照片》、照片装置以及现场创作作品参展外，还将在GillmanBarracks举行鸟头与新加坡本土艺术家的对谈活动以及融合当地文化特色的趣味性互动项目。具体内容请查看下列信息。
ShanghART represented artists duo BIRDHEAD (SONG Tao and JI Weiyu) started their six-month Southeast Asia Residency program from July 2016. They scheduled to travel around Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam and other places, and just held a solo exhibition in ShanghART Singapore to showcase their art works created during the journey. The Southeast Asia residency program is continually active at the beginning of the new year, not only their works For a bigger Photo, installation and performance art will participate the Art Stage Singapore 2017, BIRDHEAD will conduct artists talk with Singaporean artists and hold the interactive project with local cultural event. Welcome Southeast Asia to Birdhead World
鸟头将于1月13日当天举办以《Welcome Southeast Asia to Birdhead World》的艺术家对谈活动，参与对谈的还有新加坡艺术家赵仁辉。对谈结束后新加坡展会公司，移步至香格纳画廊新加坡空间，并在当天下午与旅途中结识、来自清迈的朋友，前电影制作人、现餐厅老板兼主厨Chayuti Janrakangtong（Papacurry），共同举办一场跨界表演活动。
On 13 January, in conjunction with Singapore Art Week 2017, Birdhead will start a talk with local artist Robert Zhao Renhui. After this session, Birdhead will holda performance art collaboration with filmmaker-turned-chef Chayuti Janrakangtong (Papacurry) from Chiang Mai, one of the friends Song Tao met on his travels in ShanghART Singapore Space.

香格纳画廊将在2017年艺术登陆新加坡艺术博览会期间推出鸟头特别展览。鸟头的作品将在公共空间以及特别展览中展出。步入艺博会入口后，首先映入眼帘的将是鸟头的近四米高的作品《欢迎再次来到鸟头世界2016-02》，香格纳特别展览则位于媒体休息区正对面。

Welcome to Birdhead World Again – Singapore 2016
鸟头的镜头捕捉任何存在之物，包括各自的生活圈、癖好，旅行，产生的海量照片经过冲洗、编排、装裱，形成“鸟头的世界”。无论作品是以矩阵的方式呈现，或以并置、叠加的方式呈现，都区别于单张摄影作品的美学价值和意义。近年来，鸟头着力于数张照片之间叠加拼贴以及与之匹配的装裱方式，串联种种新旧图像、文本与诗韵，形成一种独特的符号并置。
Birdhead’s unique documentary approach entails lensing a huge volume of photographs that capture a broad range of subjects, including diaristic snapshots of their daily lives, activities, and travels. These photographs are processed, arranged, and mounted to comprise each eponymous “Birdhead World.” Presented as matrices, tiled in large arrays, or assembled into collages of new and traditional images and poetry, each bricolage is driven by a distinctive Birdhead semiotic.
